OK bulbs but...

Keep your receipt and packaging. Ten year warranty. one of mine failed after five years. I can find my receipt. Seem to dim fine in the ceiling fan I have them in. Just need a new bulb now.

Q: Can this bulb be used in an enclosed fixture (ceiling fan)? Some LED bulbs note they cannot be used in an enclosed light fixture. I did not see anything about that on the packaging for this product. Is it safe to use in an enclosed fixture? Specifically Product #052-6962-0, NOMA Schoolhouse Ceiling Fan

Q: Bulbs have a covering of plastic or silicone on the base. Is this part of the packaging and should it be removed before installing in a light fixture

A: I have the same question. I asked 2 people at my Canadian Tire store in Whitby and they both had no idea what to do with that base insert????? This is the first time I've seen this. Nothing is stated on the packaging box what to do with it. Weird or what? I guess I'll go to an electrical outlet and speak with experts?
