The colour is as advertised and they look nice on the fence gate. These are sealed bulbs so there is no way to change a blown one, but since they are weather sealed they should not get wet and blow like the cheaper ones. It is a nice thing to have one bulb failing not taking out the whole string as they are wired for bypass shunting (probably in the bulb itself). And, since you are paying more you get a lengthy warranty. Time will tell if these hold up to their marketing and warranty support if not.

Still glowing after all these years

Best lights ever. Very long lasting. We are still using sets that we installed outside 7 years ago around our garden and patio. Before we found these we were spending mega $$$$$$ replacing sets every year. Well not anymore! Purchased more because our garden area grew quite a bit over 7 years.

Noma Advanced Weatherproof LEDs are a great choice. I was initially planning to set them up outdoors. However, I ended up using them indoors, and theyve exceeded my expectations! These LEDs create a warm, cozy ambiance that completely transforms the space. Not only are they versatile, but they also add a touch of comfort and elegance. Im thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend them for both indoor and outdoor use!

Waste of money

2 weeks. That’s all they lasted. Put them up before the snow. Now we have snow I can’t take them down to return them but I assure you I will. They’re also not very bright when they were working. Waste of money.

Quality strand of lights, but your diy kits don't play well with other products Noma offers.
If you buy the DIY kit to make your own extension cords in preferred lengths, they do not work with any of your strand lights in the C6 platform.
All of the plugs (both male and female) are polarized... so you cannot attach cords made from your kit as the male and female ends on light kits are non polarized.

Hello Kyle. Thank you for posting your experience. I understand your feelings when it comes to the "Polarized Plug" issue regarding Christmas Lights. However, please keep in mind this is a safety issue that is regulated by CSA, and not an arbitrary design flaw in any of the products. By CSA regulation, female Christmas light plugs can not be polarized but male plugs on extension cords must be polarized. This safety feature is to prevent people from using Christmas light strings as an extension cord for items that can draw a lot of current. (I've seen people "try" to plug in skill saws to Christmas Lights because they couldn't find a proper extension cord, and I don't recommend it!) An extension cord from the wall to your lights is fine, as the non-polarized male Light string easily fits into the polarized female extension cord. But after that, you can only plug Christmas lights into other Christmas lights. I hope the above has been helpful. Best regards and Merry Christmas.

A: These simple lights don't have any builtin switching, so you would need a smart plug or outlet.

Q: Can these new enhanced lights be strong along a metal railing ? It says not to install on trees with needles,leaves or branch coverings of metal. So I wondered about our deck railing which is metal.

A: Hello Gail. The warning you are referring to on this NOMA Advanced product is to watch carefully when using the string to decorate artificial trees. As any product that uses electricity, you should always watch for sharp metal edges that risk scraping away the insolation. I would assume your metal deck railing will be smooth, otherwise someone could scrape their hand. As long as you make sure the string is secured against a flat surface, and won't blow back and forth in the wind, then you should be absolutely fine. There is nothing wrong with having this string mounted against a metal surface. Just be sure it isn't sharp. Thank you for your question and Merry Christmas.
