I bought these hoping that they're nice and bright and was pleasantly surprised to see how bright they were. Love them. I learnt that daytime bulbs are bright compared to other types of bulbs. Great price too.

HARSH WHITE LIGHT

I bought the daylight version of these 60W equivalent bulbs for a ceiling fixture w/frosted white glass shades, and found the colour to be very harsh and unpleasant, day or night. I think that these daylight bulbs might be good as overhead lights in an unfinished basement. I didn't try to return the bulbs because there's nothing wrong with them as far as I can tell; my only issue is that I don't like the colour that they produce. I've bought other NOMA bulbs over the years, incandescent and CFL, and they've all been nice, colour-wise.

Q: I know someone said these don't give off much heat, but I know the bulbs specifically list if they can be used for enclosed or not. Can someone tell me what they say?

A: No they cannot be used enclosed. We find these to be very poor quality. We are constantly replacing them. We have been using them in two different fixtures and find we are replacing one every week or so. I would not recommend them at all.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. These bulbs can be used outdoors in weather protected fixtures, however the minimum operating temperature is -20 degrees celcius and -4 degrees Fahrenheit. Best regards,
