Pricey, but an excellent product

Before you purchase any "power bar" or "surge protector", understand that they're not all equally created! Firstly, you have to look at how much spacing is between each plug. This unit has ample space between each plug, so that bigger plugs (like transformers) can fit with greater ease. Nobody thinks about things like that when buying these kinds of things, but trust me it makes a difference. Secondly, the higher the number of joules it's rated for is what you want to get. I purchased one of those cheap white power bars and it kept tripping the surge protector, thereby shutting off the safety switch and killing the electricity to the appliances I needed. So make sure you shop around and get a power bar/surge protector with the highest rating joules. This one supports 2700 joules and I'm happy with that. The only downside to this product is it's too expensive. If you can wait for a sale, I would suggest you wait. I couldn't wait, so I had to pay full price.

Good surge protector with lots of outlets and the phone lines make it very useful. I like the outlets with extra room beside them for the transformer type plugs.
