A: This item has no indication as to aluminum or copper. For me I assumed it as copper. One reason as indicated that gauge #14 and 15 amps rating, therefore it is copper. If the ampere rating will be lower than, then probably it will be aluminum. Copper is used for standard extension cords. Thank you.

A: It probably will work but the heavy duty cord will deliver the full 15 amps to your heater better in a real cold climate

A: 052-2315 is 25ft 14/3 SJTW single locking outlet outdoor extension cord, it’s rated 15 Amps. It should be safe if customer uses a 13.5 Amps electric tiller.

Q: Does this Noma cord has a fuse/breaker (or something with similar function) that the fuse/breaker will break when there is too much electric current for the cord? Thanks

A: This item does not include overload protection. The CEC (Canadian Electric Code) considers this item to be protected by the branch circuit of the home. Homes have either circuit breakers or fuses that provide this capability. The CEC states that all outlets employing a NEMA 5-15R receptacle must be protected with a C/B or fuse rated 20 Amps or less.

Q: Is this cable 052-2316-4 suitable for winter,, what’s the temperature? Is it flexible? I know it is a sjtw but can be used for my snowblower? Thanks, Alex

A: This is an outdoor 14 gauge SJTW cord, the cord temperature is –40C to 60C. As long as the rating of snow blower is lower than 15A, it can be used. The low temperature (-40C) is the temperature that the cord can be bent without cracking. The cord will be stiff but it will not crack.
