Q: Bonjour, j'ai installé et branché le GENIUS2D il y a maintenant 4 jours sans utiliser le véhicule, l'indicateur clignote encore au vert, problème? La batterie n'était pas déchargée lors du branchement.

A: Même situation pour moi avec ce chargeur acheté en même temps qu'une batterie a décharge profonde. Il ne s'agit pas d'une mauvaise connexion dans mon cas. La batterie est au sous-sol et il n'y a que le chargeur de branché dessus. Voir mon commentaire (hw_failure) pour ce produit. Pour l'expert de NOCO, voir aussi mon commentaire. J'entendais la réaction chimique et le gaz se former. Le minuscule manuel d'instruction/garanties du chargeur mentionne qu'un témoin vert indique que c'est chargé. Ce n'est pas ce qui se passait dans mon cas. J'espère que vous allez y apporter une réponse satisfaisante mais j'en doute.

Q: Can this be used to charge and maintain 2 x 6 volt RV batteries?
a year agoA: Assuming your 6 volt batteries are typical "golf cart" batteries (i.e. GC2), they are likely 200-230Ah capacity. This charger, at 2A, would certainly be suitable for maintaining this size battery (bank). However, it really isn't suitable for charging such large capacity batteries. For example, from a 50% state of charge, it would take more than three days to fully charge your batteries. This is likely impractical. Seriously consider a charger with a higher amperage.

Q: I have a 2017 Cadillac XTS (sedan) with a MOTOMASTER battery. Would this maintainer be a good fit to maintain the car working during winter months even when not in use for months?
a year agoA: This would be a good choice. Note, however, that this unit is designed specifically to be installed on the vehicle - it comes only with eyelet attachments to the battery (i.e. not clamps).

Q: Do you have to push a button to start this unit I need it to be automatic as the charger is going to hard to get at
2 years agoA: It automatically starts when plugged in. I installed it on my car battery tucked away under the hood and double checked. It always started up when plugged in.

9 days agoA: Typically means that the charger is not detecting the battery or it's voltage is so low it cannot be detected (less than 1v). Check connections/ clean terminals. Does the model you have allow forced charging? Check the manual, see if that's possible.

Q: Is this suitable for charging a Lithium (LiFePO4) Battery? That should really be one of the filters in your search options. You sell these batteries but it is not clear if you sell chargers for them.
6 months agoA: The GENIUS2D is designed for Lead Acid batteries and is not suitable for charging Lithium batteries of any kind. Please see the GENIUS2 instead (note the absence of the "D" at the end) as this charger is comparable to the GENIUS2D and has a 12V Lithium charging mode suitable for charging 12V LiFePO4 batteries.

Q: How long does it take to charge a 12 volt deep cycle battery used for trolling
7 months agoA: As you can see from the NOCO response, using a 2A charger for such a battery/application is rather impractical as charging time would be very long. If you're looking for an onboard charger, consider instead the NOCO GEN5x1 (011-1990). It is a 5A charger and can fully charge your battery overnight so you can go fishing the next morning.

Q: My charger is flashing “red”, does that mean it is charging ?
11 months agoA: If it is flashing slowly, or what is called pulsing, it means it is in the early stages of charging. If it is flushing quickly, this does not seem to be normal. The manual is available at various places online.

Q: Can you start and run the vehicle with the charger connected and plugged in. Want to permanently mount and plug in on board in my motorhome.
2 years agoA: To answer this one would need more info detailing how you want to operate this. If you can run the vehicle the alternator should be charging the battery(ies), so why the need for the charger? When you say "plugged in", plugged in to what?
