Mounting and balance

All other tire shops quoted with mounting and balancing included. Canadian tire was the only ones I wanted extra once I brought them in. Unfortunately the Dealer with "Canadian TIRE' in the name would have been the most expensive if I was not able to mount and balance myself. I should have asked the other shops how much less without mounting and balancing so it would have been an apples to apples comparison

I bought the Winter Edge Tires for my Ram 3500 and I noticed the date of manufacture on three of the tires was more than 5 years ago in July of 2020! I called the auto manager and he said he could order me some "new" tires from the warehouse but did not know how old they would be. I agreed to him ordering some "new" tires to replace my old "new" tires. What if I had not looked at the date of manufacture? Canadian Tire is selling tires that are more than 5 years old as new, seems kind of unprofessional. I think anything more than about 18 months old when purchasing "new" tires is too old.
