This automotive battery features heavy-duty plates and fortified posts, straps, and welds that resist vibration damage and maximize current transfer. With a maintenance-free design, it boasts 590 Cold Cranking Amps of 590 at 18°C, 725 Cranking Amps at 0°C, and a reserve capacity of 100 minutes at 25A. It has a 48 Amp Hour Capacity over 20 hour, a nominal voltage of 12, and right-hand positive polarity. Its dimensions are 11" x 6-7/8" x 6-7/8". Q: Is this battery vented? Where exactly is the port? I need to connect my car's vent hose underneath the passenger seat.

A: A follow up to Pete's follow up... The hardware bag attached to the side of the battery is being phased out. Going forward, the vent plug will be supplied attached to a red positive post cover. Simply twist of vent plug off the post cover.

A: Funny you should ask, the answer is a qualified yes. I have exchanged it over the counter...be prepared to prove the battery needs to be replaced. However, when I had my vehicle in the CT garage and was already paying them to find a parasitic drain (they didn't find it...I found it myself later), they replaced the (less than 2 days old) battery thinking that was the problem (it wasn't) and charged me $50 for the "work" since they did not originally install it.

A: 3 years, unless it freezes. And these Motomaster batterys DO... every winter.

A: No it does not. If your vehicle has the battery in the passenger compartment (ie inside the car) then you need a battery with a vent tube to prevent the inhalation or off gasses from the battery from being inhaled.

A: 2 amps is a deep cycle charge. Leave it overnight on 2 amp trickle charge for best results.

A: The battery in a 2006 Canyon sits within an active cooling box. A dual terminal battery is unlikely to fit properly within the box. A "true" Group 86 battery is required to fit properly.
