The MotoMaster Eliminator AGM Powersports Battery is a sealed, non-spillable product utilizing AGM technology. This maintenance-free battery offers superior vibration resistance and a low self-discharge rate, making it ideal for seasonal use. It provides an extra-long life for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and PWCs. This package comes complete with a dry battery, acid pack, hardware, and instructions. The battery which must be filled and charged prior to first use, serves as a replacement for a range of battery models. Q: It says to run the initial charge at 1 amp, but my motomaster intelligent charger does 2 amps at the lowest. Is it okay to use that charger at 2 amps on AGM mode or do I need another charger?

A: Your 2A intelligent charger is perfectly suitable for this 18Ah battery. We would recommend the Normal (14.4V) setting. At 14.8V, the AGM setting is slightly above the recommended charging voltage for this battery.

A: This battery is not rated spill-proof and should not be used in a non-upright orientation. For a spill-proof version of a 20L-BS that can be installed in any orientation (except upside down) , use MotoMaster Eliminator Ultra XD model 027-1567 (ETX20L).

A: Different model Sportsman quad use different batteries. We would need to know the CC of your particular model (e.g. Sportsman 400, 570, 850, etc.). Ideally just provide any part numbers from your original battery and we can cross-reference it for you.

Q: I bought this battery for my ATV and noticed it won't hold a charge. I opened up the cover and noticed there is no acid, can I just add distilled water to this battery to bring it?

A: This battery is supplied dry and includes a bottle of acid in the box. The battery must be filled and charged before use. Once activated, the battery is permanently sealed – the is a VRLA battery - and the caps should never be removed.

Works as it should but longevity will see if it is worth it. They don't tell you that you have to fill the battery yourself but at least it's easy.

I’d give it 5 stars if it came with cookies.

I honestly didn’t think the acid was going to fully drain into the battery. So I followed the, very good, instructions and just left it to drain slowly and it did! It’s a little stinky, but so am I sometimes. I charged it, like the very good instructions say, and it worked. If you’ve read this far, keep reading for vital information on the product in the next sentence. You’ll need a charger. Hmmm it would be interesting to see if it works without charging. Try it and let me know. I’ll be out riding.
