The MotoMaster Classic Series Smart Battery Charger/Maintainer offers reliable, fully automatic charging for 12V batteries. With selectable 8/4/2 amp charging modes, this smart charger adjusts based on your battery’s needs, ensuring optimal charging without overloading. Ideal for maintaining and charging car, boat, and motorcycle batteries, it features built-in safety measures, including protection against reverse polarity and short circuits.

Built-in safety protections include reverse polarity, short circuit, open circuit, spark-proof, overheat, overcurrent and overcharge
The large digital display allows you to follow charging progress with real-time voltage, amperage and % charged readings as well as fault codes if charging is suspended due to a charging abnormality being detected
Retains last selected charge rate in memory so in the event AC power is disrupted (e.g. power failure) the charger will re-start in the last selected mode once power is restored

Q: I'll be away for a week and will be needing to charge my battery car so it won't die. I have the same model and wondering to which should i set it to? Is it the first one (2A<>8A)? Also is it safe to leave it for a week running? It won't cause any fire?
a year agoA: You just need to attach it to boost your car when you return. Don't leave it hooked up while you're away. You need to check the manual which setting you need. It depends on the size of your vehicle.

Q: Will it charge a toyally dead battery
4 years agoA: It should - I had left the key on my snow blower and it charged it back to 100% - but if it sits for a week I have to recharge it - takes about 8 minutes to bring it back to start it. I can handle that. But I thing I have learned about dead batteries over the years is that they will never be the same as a new one. One day they just won't recharge - hope this helps.

5 months agoA: My understanding is that this charger would NOT be ok for Lithium batteries. Canadian Tire offers only NOCO battery chargers that are compatible with lithium batteries.

Q: This product has a fan that I have never heard run - presumably to keep it from over heating. Should it run all the time until battery is charged - like older version of this product that I used to use? There is no mention of the fan in the user manual.

Q: My charger just shows the yellow triangle when I plug it in. It does not charge. How can I get it working right?
2 years agoA: your battery may be too low of charge. this charger needs to recognize some charge on your battery to be able to charge it. It happened to me. I had to pout the cables on it to give some juice.
