Q: Can you explain how to release the strap after it has been ratcheted tight?
15 years agoA: Here's what you have to do: (Please refer to picture provided for components labels) Step 1 Pull the lever lock tab (A) to release the lever. Step 2 While holding the lever lock tab, pull open the lever (B) to about 90 degrees or a bit more. Should open easily. Step 3 Release the lever lock tab (A) Step 4 Pull open the lever (B) just a bit to relieve the pressure on the ratchet lock tab (C). it is located on the underside in the picture. Step 5 Pull the ratchet lock tab (C) Step 6 While still holding the ratchet lock tab, bring back the lever (B) to it's closed position. This should have released some of the tension on the strap. Step 7 Release the ratchet lock tab (C) Step 8 Repeat the above steps (1 to 7) until the strap is loose enough to come out easily.
