Disappointed Purchase 90% plastic

We continually choose MOEN for quality. But very disappointed in this purchase. We have used this in the past but apparently in 5 years MOEN is looking only at their bottom line and no longer looking at quality. We purchased this because we loved our last one at our last house and wanted to add to our master. The ONLY metal in this product is the actual bar. The shower head, the connector pieces AND the hose are ALL PLASTIC! I purchased at a high end plumbing store expecting better quality than big box stores but that was obviously incorrect. I'm not sure how this will hold up over time with use since it is PLASTIC!

Hose leak.

Great with the exception of the hose leaking and then the water ran behind the turn off plate into the basement.

Durability

I do not recollect when I purchased this product. It was certainly within the past two years. I turned on the shower and left the bathroom briefly. I heard a pop and returned to the bathroom to find that the metallic hose had pulled out of the wall outlet and exposed the flimsy inner plastic hose. It APPEARS that this allowed the water pressure to rupture the inner plastic hose. It is lucky that I was close by. I would not buy a Moen again. This doesn't meet the threshold of quality, or product life, that I think it is reasonable to expect.

Does not work on standard drop

The hose and brackets get in the way of a standard wall shower spigot pipe. The box does not tell you. So you have to go back to the store and purchase a "drop ell" for a second trip and more $. the Drop Ell should be included or it should be prominently stated you can't install on a high wall mount shower without it.
