Love Moen, But Not This Feature!

We have always been impressed with the designs, solid construction and service of Moen. However, in the description of this faucet it is never mentioned that it is a 360º turning faucet. It turns freely beyond the safe, waterproof area of the sink enabling water to run on the counter area. I have no idea why this is in the design or an advantage of any faucet. We installed it in front of a window, in an income property. Very worried about water damages.
Formerly, I have read in Moen Faucet descriptions the restricted degrees of turning, but I no longer see that in any descriptions. First time in many years of Moen purchases, we are disappointed with the function.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Disappointed that aerator can’t be cleaned

Loved this faucet until it stuck on spray mode. I suspect the aerator needs to be cleaned but it appears from other comments that it can’t be cleaned or replaced. Extremely disappointing.

The 198297-spray wand will need to be replaced to resolve the issue you are experiencing. A: Hello Dan L and thank you for your interest in the Moen Adler Single Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel. Zinc is present in the underlying layer beneath chromium as part of the standard manufacturing process of some components but would not result in dermal contact during use. There is possible contact of water with zinc element in faucets. Also, brass is a mixture of copper and zinc, so water running through brass components in the waterway will be exposed to zinc. All Moen kitchen and lavatory faucets are Third Party Certified by IAPMO to the standard NSF/ANSI/CAN 61, Drinking Water System Components-Health Effects. Products are required to meet this standard per the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Standard NSF/ANSI/CAN 61, Section 9 establishes health and safety criteria for materials that come in contact with drinking water. NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 regulates the amount of zinc in the water as well as other metals. For pre-purchase, installation and warranty assistance, please feel free to call us at 800-289-6636.
