Prepare to set aside an afternoon to file these into decent shape.

The complaints about finish quality were all true for me; the center spurs are blunt and all the cutting edges have burrs and some are uneven or even chipped. As I'm grinding them into decent shape with a triangular file I'm finding the steel somewhat soft, which makes this step easier, but it probably means I'll have to do this again frequently with use. At sale price this set is cheaper than a single high quality bit. The tradeoff is you'll need to be prepared to set aside an afternoon with a file if you want them in decent shape.

Q: Can these bits be used in my maximum impact driver? They don't look to have the hex attachments? Would they work in a regular drill?

A: The 054-9113 (MAXIMUM Forstner Bit Set, 16-pc) can not be used in Maximum impact driver, since they do not have the hex attachments, but they could work in a regular drill.
