Overall: This tool chest unit offers excellent value, especially when purchased on sale. The combination of thoughtful design features and solid construction makes it a worthwhile investment for organizing and storing tools.
What I Loved:
The auto-locking slide drawers are a standout feature as they operate smoothly and securely hold tools in place without any accidental openings. Pre-assembly was a huge plus; it arrived ready to use without the typical hassle of building from scratch (just bolt the wheels on). The packaging was excellent and protected the unit well during transport. The top compartment is impressively spacious and provides plenty of room for larger tools or equipment.
The pricing is competitive compared to similar units on the market, and getting it on sale made it an even better deal.
Areas for Improvement:
My main complaint is that the unit arrived missing keys for the locking compartments, which was disappointing. Additionally, one bolt required for wheel assembly was absent from the hardware kit. These missing items required me to source replacements before I could fully set up and use the chest as intended. (will contact CT & waiting to sort out this issue)
Final Thoughts:
Despite the missing components, this is a solid tool chest unit that delivers on quality and functionality. I'd recommend it, especially on sale, but I'd suggest double-checking your hardware kit upon delivery to catch any missing items early.

Hard to rate, the product seems good, smooth drawers even when loaded, I like how each drawer locks. I've had smooth closing drawers before, they sometimes like to open on their own, moving the unit, or unlevel floor. So a 5 stars here, at the consumer level.
But I had the experience where the first unit delivered, top drawer wouldn't open, a defect. Even though I paid for delivery, needed to load the back to the store to get a new one. Then the new one was dented, not badly but sucks. Packaging not robust enough for handling a +300lb unit.
Although Canadian Tires warranty procedure was good. Called the 1-800 number, sent video, RMA was issued. I even received a follow-up, where CT refunded the delivery charges. So credit is due here.
If you want to potentially avoid issues, almost need to open in store. Dents hard to see under the protective film. Buy only on sale, I'm satisfied now, sometimes life isn't perfect.

Ce produit est d'une grande qualité! La finition est excellente, et le tout semble très solide. La plaque de bois est exempte de défauts et est très résistante aux rayures, les tiroirs glissent et se ferment bien et solidement et le tout est stable et sécuritaire. L'armoire peut également être verrouillée.
Globalement j'ai été agréablement surpris par la qualité. J'ai acheté deux tables mastercraft avec des plaques de bois et les deux avaient des défauts. Mais pas celle de cette armoire Maximum! Et le bois semble bien plus dur et solide.
Cependant, attention l'armoire est très lourde, près de 300lbs. Alors aillez de l'aide de plusieurs personnes si vous devez déplacer la boite de l'armoire.
Le tout est en acier inox d'une qualité remarquable pour le prix payé.
Je recommande cette armoire à tout le monde. Le prix est quand même non négligeable, mais ça en vaut le prix!

A: They are included with the drawer including the mounting hardware. They are pretty heavy duty, just MAKE SURE you don't tip the container on its side because then all the bolts will fly around inside and you'll have to remove all the drawers to find them.

Q: Can you securely install a vice to the butcher's block? Is it possible to install a vice using bolts through the top part of the chest, i.e. the 3cm butcher's block?

A: I used a similar box at my previous job. I mounted a small 4" vise on the butcher block with no problems. That said I was using it for light duty jobs. I would not use it if you need to put all your weight on a wrench to loosen a nut or pipe fitting.

A: This is the old version bottom panel in case some customers want to install more castors for high load situations. However no customers request them for years and the middle threaded inserts are cancelled now. So you can disregard them.

A: There are 2 brackets that bolt to the back of the lower box and upper box. I can't speak to adding casters over the factory 4. I've been using the lower box in an industrial job for some time now, including putting machine assemblies on the box weighing a few hundred pounds abs the box still rolls fine. Wood top has held up remarkably though I'd go through the screws that holds the top to the box as I've had them fall out. That said, I did not have a good buying experience. I purchased the toolbox new in box. Brought it directly to work and unboxed it. Found significant damage. Appeared to have been crushed is transit to the store. Store would not send me a replacement without paying for the shipping. Had to load it up in my truck again and return. Asked to inspect the next new in box toolbox and in the store found that to be crushed as well. I ended up taking the floor model as that was the only one left. Had a dent in it so they offered a discount for that only, not for the hassle of the previous damaged boxes.
