Je ne rédige pas souvent car, mes appréciations ressemblent sensiblement aux commentaires de certains utilisateurs rédigent. maiw cette fois-ci, il ny à aucun commentaires et cela me surprend. donc voici mon expérience avec cette petite merveille. J'utilise cette petite sableuse 5 " depuis plus de 2 ans, et je dois avouer qu'elle est absolument parfaite. Elle est puissante de tel sorte que même en lui donnant le maximum de pression, elle ne bronche pas, sa vitesse reste stable. Je lui connecte un aspirateur (Shop Vac avec un bon sac ) au lieu d'utiliser le filtre de la sableuse d'origine et grâce à cette technique, aucune poussière n'est dégagée donc on peut faire des petites rénovations, sans risquer de tout salir, même à coté des meubles ou autres. Car pour moi, la propriété c'est important. Sa vitesse variable est très appréciée pour des besoins plus délicats. Pas de fil à traîner en plus du boyau de balayeuse, ce que je faisais avant avec mes autres sableuses. .. j'adore. Je recommande fortement

A good sander with a bit of room for improvement

This sander is great, but could still be further improved in some areas. I recently used it in conjunction with a corded Bosch orbital sander to prep my deck (constructed with pressure treated lumber) for stain. I used it with 5.0ah XVOLT batteries and I believe I got 1.5-2 hours of runtime per battery. The sander is powerful and doesn't bog down at all with 60 grit Diablo sandpaper, and it stays cool to the touch! I never thought temp would be a problem until I used the Bosch sander for the same amount of time and the tool body got uncomfortably hot. The Maximum sander has a pretty good design, and felt good in the hand, even with the larger 5.0ah battery. It wasn't so heavy or bulky that it made it difficult to sand the spindles on the outer side of the deck, even while standing on a ladder.
Where this tool could use improvement is the dust collection, and the noise and vibration. I've attached a couple of pictures to this review to show the difference between the Maximum sander and the Bosch sander's dust collection. With the Maximum sander, there is a lot more loose dust on the working area and on the tool body, while the Bosch sander's working area and tool body is much cleaner. The Bosch also feels like it has less vibration despite being a brushed tool. I also found that the Maximum sander's dust bag filled up quickly because it's so small, and it was more of a pain to empty it. They should put a zipper closure on the opposite end to make it easier to shake the dust out, like they did with the corded Maximum belt sander.

Impressive Palm Sander

I was wanting this for awhile and when it finally came on sale I snapped one up. What a powerful and delightful orbital sander to use, puts my corded model to shame! The 5" velcro backing pad is very strong, love the variable speed, I didnt think I'd change that much but indeed I have. I've put it thru its paces the last few weeks sanding plywood, drywall and shelving projects. I've used it with and without a vacuum, the included dust bag works incredibly well, I didnt expect that. It's very well balanced maiking it comfortable to use and works well with either 2 or 4 Ah batteries, I'm very impressed! I absolutely recommend, 5 star product!

excellent portability

I bought this on sale last year as I have other 20v battery maximum tools with several batteries! Recently used on my fiberglass truck cap to sand off peeling clear coat and repaint. This sander worked perfectly for this job and batteries I used 3 in about 3 hours to sand the whole cap! Easy to hold and move about to get the job done! I expect if had to reach up the light weight would make it an easier task with less fatigue!! yes I recommend this product!!

A: No, of course not. Maximum batteries only, just as dewalt are dewalt only. Same goes for the other top pro name cordless tools.

Q: Does the MAXIMUM 20V Brushless Random Orbit Sander take 5" or 6" sanding discs? The information on the website lists the two different sizes. And, the Imperial and Metric details don't match either. "Pad Size (cm) 125 cm" is a big sander!
