Well built unit that works exactly as described. When i bought this, i did not realize my engineerd flooring dimensions were different then the plates that are included (they were 7/16). I had to use a few washers and some trial and error to shim the plate to make it work, and its been great. I have been using 2" staples.

This nailer worked extremely well. I installed 350 square feet of 3/4 hard wood. All you have to do is remember to use 2 drops of the oil it comes with every day before use. I never had 1 jam after two weeks use. It worked for 2000 -16 gauge cleats. A really nice tool to use. Another thing to mention. I did use it with a good compressor, it needs to have a good scfm rating not just psi, but most high quality tools, require good pressure. I thought because it was a Maximum product it would not perform like a big brand product, but I also read another review on here which stated it was a good tool and now I’m adding my positive experience with it. Solid purchase!

Great Tool for DIY Flooring Projects

I'm only 1/4 of the way through my flooring project but so far very pleased with this tool. Almost flawless stapling, and of the few misfires, most were my own doing such as a hesitant tap instead of a firm hit. No jams yet. Despite how solid it feels, this thing gets into surprisingly tight spaces, leaving very little that needs to be done manually or with a finish nailer. The only thing I would improve: an indicator to show the nails/staples are running low. I was going to rent a tool for my project, but after adding up the costs I realized that for only a few dollars more I could buy the convenience and flexibility of starting and stopping work any time I liked. That has proven as valuable as the quality of the tool - definitely glad I decided to buy.
