Bought 3 of these heaters on sale when my furnace board blew. Kept my house warm and were ran hard for 5 days! 10/10 would buy again. P.S. love the safety features with kids and dogs in the house. One got knocked over and shut itself off. Great peace of mind in a stressful situation.

I returned the fan because it had a poor air flow system. It moved very little air and was ineffective at cooling. Furthermore, I was concerned that it was putting a higher voltage on the wires than normal, which felt like a potential safety hazard.

Q: Range of thermostat?

A: I recall the thermostat operates the full range of temperatures. And should the heater tip over, the heater automatically turns off. The heater functions very well. It was used in a 5 person tent. And yet only 2 of us, were in the tent that night. Very warm and comfortable in overnight temperature of only 2 degrees. Really happy to have purchased this heater.

A: No ventilation required, just some space around the back of the fan. This unit heats a room up fast or cools it down fast.

Q: Will this be sufficient to heat a 2 car garage? I don't need it room temperature, but just need to take the edge off the cold when it's -20 outside and I'm working in there.

A: All 1500 watt heaters will deliver the same amount of heat. And that is probably not going to do much in a 2 car garage in a couple of hours. Even a 4800 watt heater will not raise the temperature a lot in 2 hours, but will do a lot more. A 1500 watt radiant heater might make you FEEL warmer though, if you are limited to a 120v outlet.
