Have purchased 2 of these and yes for the price seems reasonable. One unit drawers needed a lot of extra aligning and are a fit flimsy just don't over load them.
The second one the "wood durable top is anything but good. A cup of water was set on it and with ice it sweated a bit. By the next morning it was bubbled and swollen ruined it.
Canadian tire store wouldnt do anything about it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Ordered this unit due to the ample cupboard space for my toolboxes. Nice looking and great table top surface. However, the drawers are not smooth to open or close—probably the worst drawer mechanism I’ve experienced. So while I love the unit—the drawer mechanism sucks.

A: No it is not checker plate in the back. It is also not real checker plate in the front either. I do not recommend this for a business. The maximum cabinets look alot better than the mastercrafts

Q: I have just finished building my new cabinet, it looks great. However the drawers all sit out about 1/2" ...... should they be flush to the frame face?

A: Yes it should be flush, but you have to push them in. They are stiff, the drawers don’t just slide easy for a while.
