Q: I tried my fully charged Mastercraft 20v Max Lithium-Ion battery on this and it would not power up. Not sure if I got a defective iron... Anyone was able to get a Mastercraft 20v Max to work with it or its only PWR POD batteries?

A: I use my mastercraft lithium-ion 20V max battery on it no issue. I got the battery when I bought a mastercraft 20V drill. I also have pwr PODs battery and it works with it too

Portable and useable

I like it. It heats up quick. The portability is nice for when working on things outside like vehicle wiring. Its nice the iron came with four tips (conical, bevel, knife & chisel) that will cover most applications. It would of been nice if the iron cable was silicone. I can see the cord splitting or melting in the future.

this iron performs as good as a mid to high tier iron while being comfortable and cordless. soldered tail light connectors in a -15 shed with a 2ah PWR POD battery and didn't lose a bar even on max heat. for 10-14ga wire it has to be used on max temp to keep up and it takes a minute to heat your connection if you don't use a lighter or torch, but that doesn't matter with the convenience of it. can get a battery adapter for any brand for $50 if you don't want to commit to the pwr pod platform. that's the route I'm going, I just borrowed this one for the time being. I'll be going ridgid battery with this iron
