I purchased this unit just over a year ago and the pad that the paper sits on came apart. Now I have to replace the unit and purchase a new one to finish my jobs.

Waste of time and money!

I’ve had one for years, the pad finally broke. Ordered a new one, lasted two minutes, all reviews of the replacement are the same, stay away from it.
There’s only one available anywhere, they’re all the same, junk.
Dewalt used to be good, not any more!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Didn't hold up

I bought this to sand my deck rails using Mastercraft sanding pads, but the pads wouldn’t stay attached—not even a quarter of the way through the job. I went through four pads before giving up. When I tried to return it, I was only offered a store credit. I ended up buying a Bosch sander instead, which is far superior in quality and performance.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: For my Mastercraft Orbital Sander, product # 054-7296-6…..do you sell replacement rubber pass’s that are screwed into the tool, that the sanding discs stick onto? The tiny rubber “spikes” have worn down so the hook&loop pads will not stick.

A: Amazon sells them. Look for one for ridged that brand has the same holes this sander does. :)

A: Yes this can be used for sanding a deck. The product comes with 2 sanding papers (80-grit). There are replacement sanding papers sold separately in the store.
