From super rusty 16 Gauge Exhaust Pipes to fresh stainless mufflers, 1/4" steel towing/hitch mounts, to tack welding brackets in tight spaces underneath cars this thing does it all. It's got the best controls, 1 for wire feed and 1 for voltage, yes you need both, you cant dial it in perfect with preset values, and the older one with the switches for the voltage control sucked to dial in for thin metal. PRO TIP: In the manual it says to tune this thing by ear, and it really works!! Once you start listening for the right sound you'll always be able to set the settings. perfect. I just select the Voltage for the thickness I'm trying to do and tune the speed by ear. FYI, this is the Canadian version of the famous harbor freight one that has 5k revies and is also an absolute champ.
