The LePage Interior/Exterior Wood Filler, Repairs Cracks & Holes, Water-Resistant, 500-mL, repairs cracks and holes in your light-coloured wooden surfaces with ease. The smooth paste spreads easily and dries to match the colour of your wood. Once dry, you can stain, paint, nail, or screw into the filler like it was the original wood. The low-odour formula cleans up with soap and water while you work, and the weatherproof filler resists mould and mildew for the long run. It will not shrink or crack up to an 18 mm (3/4”) application.

Q: Can this be used on a deck that I intend to stain with a solid (opaque) stain. Thank you in advance

A: Yes, the LePage Exterior Wood Filler can be used if you are filling nails holes only. However, it is not recommended for filling cracks or joints where expansion and contraction may occur such as in a deck situation.

Q: After filling with wood filler on my exterior siding, then I sand it, but do I need to paint a coat of primer first before I paint.

A: For added protection in exterior applications it is always best to prime a repaired surface before painting, but it is not required. It does help improve the look of finish coat depending on the type you are using.

Q: Washable? Before painting, I like to wash sanding dust away with water spay. Is that OK?

A: The preferred method would be to use a "tack" cloth to remove any residue. A damp cloth would be okay, also, but you would not want to spray the wood filler.
