This experience has been beyond frustrating and honestly alarming. I purchased this so-called stainless steel product from Canadian Tire, and on the very first use, I boiled plain water—nothing else. Immediately after, black spots appeared inside. This should NEVER happen with a food-grade stainless steel product. If it reacts to simple boiling water, it raises serious concerns about material quality, contamination, and safety. Shocked and uncomfortable, I decided to return the product, assuming a major retailer like Canadian Tire would stand behind what they sell. I was wrong. Because this item was purchased on Boxing Day, Canadian Tire flatly refused to accept the return, despite the product being clearly defective after first use. No consideration for safety. No accountability for selling substandard goods. Just a rigid policy and complete lack of customer support. So let me get this straight: Canadian Tire is perfectly fine selling products that degrade immediately, but not fine with taking responsibility once a defect is discovered. That is unacceptable for a company of this size and reputation. Between a potentially unsafe product and a customer-unfriendly, inflexible return policy, this has been a terrible experience from start to finish. I have completely lost trust in both the brand and Canadian Tire. I strongly warn other customers: think twice before buying kitchen or food-related items here, especially during sales like Boxing Day—you may be stuck with a defective product and no recourse. This is not just disappointing. It’s irresponsible.
