So easy and effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I surprisingly use this all the time. Much finer blend for dressings. Much easier than a bulky blender.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Sweet and tiny.

Bought this last month.so far have done some chopped tomato for sauce; onions; carrot; and peanuts. Does a good job. Easy to clean. Only issue is figuring out how to put the lid on/off properly. I’m thinking with more use it may come easier. Washing is easy. I just slip it back in the box to store it. All is good.

Work bowl - severe crack - poor durability

Don’t but this. My wife processed half an onion for beans and cornbread. Apparently, the bottom part of the worked cracked chunks of plastic - and that plastic was found in our children’s mouth (and mine). I took pictures, it’s bad cracked hole in the work bowl. This was a disappointing Christmas present and now, a tremendous health hazard. I don’t want a replacement, it’s unsafe - I just want my money back. Kitchen Aid - I don’t trust you!

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • A: It sure does! It’s a chop, not a precise/consistent cut like a full processor etc (meets my need!)

Q: I just purchased one today. I feel dumb, but seem to be having trouble getting the lid off. Is there a trick to it?

  • A: Greetings, While holding the lid, rotate it to your left. The lid will rotate to your left as it slowly lifts up.

Q: Can this chop ginger chilies and garlic?

  • A: Thank you for your enquiry. You can chop ginger, chilli and garlic in the 3.5 cup chopper. Chop your ingredients into 2cm pieces before putting into your chopper. When starting to process your ingredients use the pulse function to break your ingredients into smaller pieces before fully processing.

Q: Can this chop kale without mashing it up to a pu[plp like?

Originally posted on Kitchenaid New Zealand

  • A: If you mean raw kale, then yes, it will chop it reasonably coarsely - just keep an eye on it, and don’t over-process it.  I’d try pulsing it a few times, and font over-fell the bowl.  I’ve done this with basil leaves (for pesto), and other leafy herbs.

Q: Can it make meat (like pork) mince?

Q: Just wondering can you make pastry in the mini food chopper?

  • A: Hello!  Yes, I often make pastry in my brilliant little mini processor!  Try this: 1 1/4 cups of flour 1 tsp baking powder 75-100g butter 1 tsp vinegar About 1/2 cup milk Chop the butter into the dry ingredients until it looks like very coarse breadcrumbs (a few pea-sized pieces of butter are fine), then mix the milk and vinegar and dribble it in through the handy hole in the lid until it clumps together and forms a ball.  This makes enough pastry to roll out into two 30cm circles for a savoury pie (I use it for bacon and egg pie).  Bake the pie at approx 200 deg C.
