Worth it

This was a gift from my mother somewhere around 2000, maybe 1999, and it still runs like a champ. LOVE my Kitchen Aid, whenever I get a larger bowl, I'll never give away my Pro 5. We use this constantly. It made chocolate chip cookies at least once a week when my kids were in school, banana bread, yeast breads, whipped cream, meringues, whatever you want. We also love the meat grinder and sausage making attachments, and will eventually add the pasta maker to our collection.
This is a heirloom appliance, however silly that might sound, but truly, my stand mixer will probably be left to our foodie daughter in the will. Highly recommend.

Kitchenaide Mixer in Red

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mixer is amazing. Made homemade banana bread. The design is amazing and so beautiful. Assembly was easy-just open the box and it’s all together. The mixer isn’t loud and doesn’t vibrate. Next Christmas you can expect I’ll be making cookies from scratch.

Doesn’t Last

I purchased this mixer less than a year and a half ago haven’t used it that often but when I put it on high speed, it goes for about 15 seconds and then dies- don’t waste your money

Buyer Beware!

Bought this mixer twice. Both just stopped working after minutes of use. After researching the failure I have found that this is VERY common problem with the 500 ac motor.

A: Hi Shauna, thank you for contacting the Whirlpool Central Advisors! Yes this model does come with a One Year Full Warranty from date of purchase. The warranty section of the Owner's Manual says KitchenAid will pay for your choice of: "Hassle-Free Replacement of your Stand Mixer by calling the Customer eXperience Center toll-free at 1-800-807-6777 OR The replacement parts and repair labor costs to correct defects in materials and workmanship. Service must be provided by an Authorized KitchenAid Service Center." However, it also says that KitchenAid will NOT pay for: "A. Repairs when your Stand Mixer is used in other than normal single family home use. B. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse or abuse. C. Any shipping or handling costs to deliver your Stand Mixer to an Authorized Service Center. D. Replacement parts or repair labor costs for Stand Mixer attachments operated outside the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada." I hope this helps!
