Q: Can these swings be used a replacment swings on a metal swing set?

A: Definitely. It is true that the shortest chain setting is not short enough to use on metal swing sets, but we just solved the problem by tying three knots on the rope on each side. It works perfectly and we have had it for 3 years and stands up to weather fantastically.

Q: Is the weight limitation because of the rope? I have chains and only need the seats.

A: The weight limit would be largely due to the working capacity of the ropes.. I’m 200lbs and I used it no problem

Q: How does the rope fare in outdoor harsh weather, mud and general wear-and-tear? I am used to seeing metal chains so having a rope feels weird.

A: The swings that are sold separately are able to attach to hangers (so can be attached to a tree): of course, you will need to ensure it is done safely and the swing would have no obstructions etc…
