A: They recommend that fire extinguisher be replaced every 10 years. But they can last as much as 12 years. When we had ours recharged the gentlemen always informed us how long before replacement.

A: Extinguishers in Canada have a lifespan of twelve years. For home use, there is no direct requirements. For commercial use, you need yearly professional inspections on top of your own monthly schedule. Contact a local servicing company for details.
