Q: Will this connect to my Extreme 3 with PartyBoost? The features list on this page says "JBL PartyBoost - Yes" but I've read online that Auracast speakers are (annoyingly) not backwards compatible. Which is it?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our JBL Flip 7 does not float. However, it designed to be waterproof and dustproof. It has a rating of IP68 making it dustproof and immersible for up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes.

A: Thanks for your question. When using lossless audio on our JBL Flip 7, it will not charge simultaneously. This is because the USB-C port is being used for audio playback from the source device, so charging isn’t possible at the same time.

A: Thanks for your question. Our JBL Flip 7 isn’t designed as a PA system, but it does support Auracast, and there isn’t a fixed limit published for the number of speakers you can connect.

Great sound custom design is flawed.

Bought this at the beginning of the month. Was very happy with the look and sound of the speaker. Unfortunately after less than a month with little use the design I picked is coming off the speaker. Pieces of the color on the fabric wrap are coming off and it’s only been used a few times sitting on a counter with no rough use. Will not be making a personalized speaker ever again. Now I have a speaker with white specks where there should be color.

Classic JBL sound, on the go!

Having been a lifelong JBL fan (have a pair of Decade 26 speakers for almost 30 years, JBL headphones, and a JBL Clip), I wanted to get a waterproof, long battery life portable player. Many of my friend have the earlier Flip models, and they sound amazing...had to grab a Flip 7, and WOW! Classic JBL sound, long battery charge, and the iPhone app to customize the sound (even has an equalizer option) is simply amazing. Love it and highly recommend it!
