Q: What USB connection(s) does the Charge 6 have? The Charge 5 had USB-C for charging the Charge 5, but it has a USB-A for charging devices, which was ridiculous.

A: Thanks for your question. You can connect your phone to the speaker using the Type-C charging port for a wired connection. To switch to a wired connection, first turn on the speaker. Then, press and hold the play button while plugging in the Type-C cable. Once you hear a chime sound, it means the speaker has successfully switched to a wired connection.

A: Thanks for your question. Our JBL Charge 6 uses our latest Auracast feature for speaker pairing, while our JBL Flip 4 uses JBL Connect+. Since they run on different pairing technologies, they can not be wirelessly connected together.

A: Thanks for reaching out. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help isolate the issue, and do the following in this order. First, go into the app and clear the Cache, then uninstall the app from your device. Next, forget or unpair the JBL Charge 6 from the Bluetooth list on your device, then reboot the device/phone twice (this is an important step, as it ensures that the device has gone through an entire on/off cycle without ever seeing the app or Bluetooth pairing, so all remnants are removed from the phone). Third, reset the speaker. After that, pair them to your device. Play some music to ensure a good Bluetooth connection. Lastly, download and install the app, open the app, and allow all permissions (the app will not function without permissions). When the app opens, it should find your speaker and function properly. Please know that we can not guarantee the use of our app when using Beta versions of Operating Systems. If the issue remains, please contact us.

I customized my JBL Charge 6 and it looks absolutely amazing!!! The sound on this thing packs a punch and is super clear. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the strap handle it comes with now.
