Well built, basically a good set of vise grips with a larger clamp for specific/awkward clamp jobs. Make sure you're clamping with the centre of the clamp pads or you may not get as good a grip as you need, especially on smooth/small items.

Good equipment at a good price.

I was drilling pocket holes for a cabinet I was building. I found regular clamps did not have the holding pressure & the jig would move slightly sometimes. The vice-grip clamp did the job. I wish I had it for other tasks in the past.

I picked one of these up to try it out. I've used other Irwin Vise-Grip with the older style grip. These things are SO MUCH BETTER. Clamping is the same but unclamping you just grab the blue side of the handle and just give it a tug. Boom! it's free and ready to be re-clamped. I've been using it to hold small pieces while deburring them with an angle grinder and it has really helped speed my workflow.
