A: There is a thumb lever near the hinge that needs to be pushed sideways while carefully closing the blade with your other hand.

Q: I purchased this knife about month ago, just opened the sealed package it came in and noticed the wood grain on the other side of the handle was missing? Is this normal? Looks weird to me. LOL Please advise Thanks.
