I bought this unit after we had some foundation repair work done a few weeks ago. The entire basement was covered in dust and smelled awful. After just a day of running this air purifier, the basement no longer smelled like it was full of old foundation and epoxy. While all the settled dust still needs to be cleaned manually, at least the air is clear! Our basement is around 800 square feet, and setting the unit in the middle seemed to do the trick. I really like that it will tell me when the filters need to be cleaned or replaced, and the middle LED indicator gives an indication as to how clean the air is. As for noise levels, even on its highest setting, the sound is quite reasonable, and at the lowest setting, I can barely hear it. Short version: yes, I recommend this unit for a large area. It's easy to use, clean, and will get the job done.

Continous clicking noise

This unit makes a continuous clicking noise when running. It’s getting worse the longer it’s running. It could be the fan that is making the noise but I’m not an expert. It’s very annoying and at this price, it should run perfectly. I actually can’t tell if it’s working well or not since the air quality seems to be the same. I guess I got a faulty unit.
