Product Details

The HoMedics Portable White Noise Machine can offer relaxation on the go. Choose from six soothing nature sounds including white noise, thunder, ocean waves, rain, summer night, and stream to mask undesirable background noise and help you fall asleep. You can adjust the volume to your liking and power the machine by either plugging it into a wall outlet using the included adapter or by inserting four AA batteries (not included). The auto-off timer can set the sounds to last for 15, 30, or 60 minutes to save power while you sleep. The compact size of the machine allows it to fit in your purse or travel bag, so you can take your soothing sounds wherever you need to de-stress. The natural noise reproduction is designed to mimic the environment for a truly relaxing experience whether you’re sleeping, studying, or looking to unwind. It can also be used to help little ones sleep with rhythmic noise that comforts infants and young children.

The "thunder" setting works well to make the music and voices coming from next door less intrusive so that I can read without being distracted; it's a matter of setting the machine between myself and the noise source. Being able to use batteries makes it easy to situate the machine perfectly. Noise selection and volume adjustment couldn't be simpler.
