I purchased this door handle to compliment me new gate. I painted it and the supplied screws, black with a semi-gloss clear coat. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, I carefully screwed on the handle to the wooden gate. To ensure accuracy, I first drilled pilot holes. The construction of the handle suggested that it was machine formed and pressed from flat steel stock in China. I found that it matched the handles that I had put on my old gate, 15 years ago on the other side of the house. It was quite a simple operation but I have endeavoured to make it sound as complicated as possible.
