Pros: sturdy aluminum construction, large capacity and heats fast. Cons: should have an oven light and more program options, i.e. favourite settings.

Works great on regular or convection. Heats up quickly. Big enough for a casserole dish. Still not sure re the toaster function, took a very long time.

Q: Does this oven not preheat, or am I doing something wrong? Every other toaster oven I've ever owned didn't start counting down the time until it preheated to the selected temperature, but this one starts as soon as you press the start button.

A: yes it does preheat. Page 14 of the manual. 2 methods are covered Convection with preheating and convection without preheating.

Q: Do the exterior walls of this toaster oven get really hot? Warm is expected but hot would not be ideal as I'm looking for a toaster oven that I can put in a somewhat confined space.

A: they do get some what hot - the oven has an inch spacer at the back so it can't get any closer than that to the wall. I am guessing that is the safe distance. I can touch the side when it is hot without getting burned. I leave mine against the wall when not in use and pull it out a couple inches when baking. It is one of my favorite appliances in the kitchen and it bakes like a real oven. I have done 9x13 sheet cakes and they turn out perfect. If something is a little close to the top elements, then I just cover it with a bit of foil to stop over browning - the foil must not touch the element.

A: it only has a non annoying beep when it reaches temperature or shuts off.
