Not pleased with battery

I bought this a couple weeks ago and wasn’t pleased with it at all. The battery only lasted 15 minutes after being fully charged

Great Purchase

I bought this as a back-up to my snowblower in case it wouldn't start. I was very surprised how well it works. Putting it together was easy enough. It worked really well and so glad I purchased it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the battery life. You need to have 2 batteries when it only comes with 1. I found that you only get about 15 minutes of battery life so you have to be quick or it runs out. Still I would gladly recommend. It also went on sale 2 weeks after I bought it so I went back and they reimbursed me the difference with no issues at all.

the little snowblower that could!

for what you get, it's a great little machine. I like its smaller size / footprint (doesn't take up space in the garage - comparable to an electric lawn mower).
NOTE: it will not go through what the snowplow adds to end of the driveway without your help (I used a shovel to break up the wall of snow from the plow, chipped away at it with the snowblower - no problem). CALL-OUT: the battery should be charged indoors (my garage is not insulated). for heavier snow, it will go through the battery faster than if it was the fluffy stuff so recommend to charge it when it has one cell left on it.

Greenworks Snowblower

I use the snowblower to clear sidewalks and driveways. It works well on light snow, and the chunks left by the municipal plow. The battery holds its charge for at least 40 minutes. I think the best part is that the machine is lightweight, easy to load in the back of the truck to go and help clear out friends and family driveways.

A: This machine will chew into any depth of snow, however the impeller intake is about 8.75 inches high so you would need to decrease speed and let the machine work at its own rhythm.

Q: Bought Greenworks 60V 5Ah Snowblower, 22”. Instructions aren’t how it comes. Figured it out but am wondering if the chute is a known problem. Extremely hard to turn it with the top controller. Took 2 of us to turn it. Should I return before using?

A: Hi ninjagrissom. Thank you for your interest. A Two-Stage snow thrower may be a better option. Single-stage models are usually the lightest type of snowblower available, making them relatively easy to transport and store when not being used. They also tend to be more maneuverable than two-stage models, so they make it easier to get around tight corners or navigate narrow spaces. Greenworks single-stage snow blowers are usually designed for snowfalls of 8-10 inches or less, are intended for use on flat, paved surfaces, and are not self-propelled. However, they are still functional in both lower and higher levels of snow. A two-stage snow blower is a larger machine with an auger that cuts into snow and pushes it into a separately driven impeller, which discharges the snow out of the chute. This two-stage system speeds up the snow clearing process and does a better job tackling deeper snowfalls of more than 10 inches. Greenworks two-stage snow blowers are self-propelled and are designed with all-metal augers and enough ground clearance for use on uneven or gravel surfaces. We hope this information helped!

Q: i live in Vancouver and we get wet sticky heavy snow. i don't want to buy the Greenworks if snow continuously become stuck in the discharge shoot; stopping and manually clearing the shoot?!

A: Hello Billybt, Thank you for your question. The 2-speeds refer to (auger speed) which can be controlled up at the control switch on the handles. Higher auger speed is meant for heavier and tougher snow.
