The dormant oil spray was for a sandcherry and other flowering trees and bushes. It has to be used before the buds appear and when there is no chance of rain. This spring those ideal conditions were hard to find. We shall see how the bushes do in the weeks ahead.

A: I just followed the directions on the package. The quantity will depend how many trees or shrubs you are spraying. One year - Insect Spray: 60 ml (4Tbsp), Lime Spray: 120 ml (8 Tbsp) Another year - Insect spray: 90 ml, Lime Spray: 180 ml

A: Hello, Thank you for your interest in our Green Earth Dormant Spray Kit. We recommend that you use the Wilson Select-A-Spray lawn and garden Sprayer. It has a 60 ml/L setting for dormant spray application. Thank you

Q: There were no instructions with the product, and unclear on the pull out label of the two products in the box if they are to be mixed together and what ratio they need to be diluted to, if required. .Is product to be diluted?

A: Yes they can be mixed together. The dormant oil is basically used to make the Sulphur stick to the plants. I mix 120 ml (8 tbsp) Lime Sulphur and 60 ml (4tbsp) Horticultural Oil in 3 litres of water in a pump sprayer. Shake frequently. I use it as a dormant spray on my roses and deciduous ornamentals.

Q: I have bought a dormant spray kit from Canadian tire unfortunately there is no instructions to how and when spray it. I need advice.

A: You use it on the fruit trees when they are dormant, so fall/winter before new shoots appear. The instructions are on the back of the label, you pull it off. If not google

A: 8 tablespoonsful of lime sulphur and 4 tablespoonsful of oil spray in 3 litres of water, essentially 2:1 ratio of sulphur to oil. If you are using a hose end sprayer you will have to adjust the dial appropriately (personally I set mine to maximum setting (10))

A: Bonjour guylou, Il ne faut pas utiliser le kit de pulvérisation le Green Earth Dormant Spray Kit en été. Il doit être utilisé sur les arbres et les arbustes avant l’éclosion des bourgeons. Vous pouvez utiliser le …..Lime Sulphur..ou Horticulture oil séparément durant la saison, mais seulement comme conseillé sur l’étiquette. Il est important d’utiliser ces produits uniquement sur les plantes inscrites sur l’emballage.
