I did some patching in early October when the weather was probably to cold. There is quite a bit of fertilizer mixed in with the seed. It sprouted fantastic after a couple of weeks even in the cooler weather. I highly recommend.

I only have a hand held Scott’s dispenser. Small rental yard fyi not breaking the bank. I saw germination within an 11 day period despite very poor soil I’ve been trying to restore all spring and early summer. I think this is a decent product all things considered eh

Works extremely well, I was surprised

This stuff works really good, even if you don't put in much effort. Mind you if you put in a little bit of effort, the faster it's going to grow and also the better results you're going to get. What I mean is that I bought this and just threw it on top of my current grass and patchy areas. And then I just watered it daily multiple times. And it has really grown a lot within the couple of weeks. Sometimes I feel like I would wake up the next day and see grass where there wasn't grass before. It seems crazy but it's true. One thing I wish is that if I would have put in the extra effort in the beginning by actually roughing up the ground beforehand, and then putting the seed in so that the seed was actually within the soil and not just on top. But like I said, I am very surprised as to how well it worked, just by throwing the grass seed on top and make sure that I watered it regularly. Water is the biggest thing, I watered this patch of lawn a lot. There was also another patch that I didn't water as much but I wanted to see to grow there, but because the amount I was watering the other side, was too lazy to do the other side as well. So the one big patch area, has seen far more growth than the other side that I didn't water nearly as much

Q: How does the 'Weed Defense' feature of this product work? Would it kill already grown broadleaf, clover, and grassy weed types, or make them worse?
