low q tint

not sure what is wrong with the adhesive on the metal + dyed tint. I have nothing but trouble with adhesion. Other gila products are fine (dyed and the dyed+ceramic).
can't return!

Difficult to work with

Watch a lot of videos and be prepared to waste a bunch. If you’ve never tinted before better off paying someone. This stuff is hard to work with and I ended up wasting the roll

Not great

Trash thin tint spent a whole day doing it and it ended up looking mid might as well have bought an empty box. Way too expensive for 6.5feet or tint

Terrible product, doesn't stick
a year ago
I cleaned and degreased the window this tint was going on multiple times, followed directions on how to apply and it would not stick at all. It had many bubbles and wrinkles that would not squeegee out. The protective film was difficult to remove and came off in pieces
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How can I remove the tint once it's been on for a period of time...if I no longer want it ? Products available for removal ?

A: Ammonia is what helps remove the adhesive. You can spray with ammonia and use a razor on side windows, BUT you will need to use a scrub brush on rear window to not damage a rear window defroster.

Q: What is the percentage of light transfered through this tint? In Manitoba, driver's side and front passenger side windows require at least 50% light transfer through the tint to meet Manitoba regulation 99/93. I am looking for a window tint that will meet this requirement.

A: The vendor replied that they do not offer a film with 50% VLT. Therefore applying this film on the front side windows would not be within the law in Manitoba. All of their film series come in 5%, 20%, or 35% VLT.

Q: can u use the ultrashield window tint for in the house to make rooms darker I am looking for something to put over my bedroom windows so the room is darker in the summer months would this work thank you

Q: size of material There are no details on the CT web site, but the Gila site says USS42 (shown on CT site) dims are 2' x 6'5". Read 2 feet by 6 feet 5 inches. Wondering if someone could confirm this. 77 inches is about 2 inches shy for my application.
