A: Thank you for your question. The answer is No. Uncured GE Advanced Silicone 2 Kitchen and Bath Sealant residue can be cleaned immediately using mineral spirits, paint thinner, or isopropyl alcohol following solvent manufacturer's safety precautions and instructions so as not to damage surfaces. Cured sealant may be cut or scraped away using a sharp-edged tool, taking care not to damage surfaces. Unfortunately, there is no substance that can dissolve cured silicone.

Q: hi,can use this to glue metal with polymer materials? i need waterproof glue for them. Hi, I am finding a glue for my experiment, and i need to glue steel with geomembrane. My supervisor said i can find everything i need in Canadian tire, so i just come and try to find the answer.

A: Product #67-0850 will adhere to bath materials in questions and is waterproof/water resistant. This product is not designed to be submerged in water if that is the application. If your experiment requires being submerged in water, I would like to suggest you investigate CTC Product #38-3792 which is water weld adhesive.

Q: Can I use this to install a bathroom sink (the type that partially sits on top / partally into the counter)? Only the sealant would be holding it.

A: GE Silicone II Sealant (67-0850) is not designed to be a mechanical adhesive (anchor). The product is designed to keep out water and air. If the sink is free standing and you’re relying on the product to act as an adhesive, the answer would be the product is not suitable. If the sink basin is anchored to the counter or wall, and you're looking for additional support for the sink to sit on a pedestal, the product would be suitable.

A: All GE 100% Silicone caulks (GE Silicone II &GE Silicone I) will "cure" and become silicone rubber 24 hours after application. GE Silicone rubber sealants remain flexible, and will not harden, or dry out.
