Garbage . I mean absolute garbage. One of them you don’t even need a key to open. You give it a slight little pull and it pops open. I’d return it but I bought them for my son to take with him when he went away. So now I’ve paid for broken locks that I can’t use.

Chintzy padlock where the best feature is the brass body

I needed some cheap padlocks to secure outdoor under deck storage where there is nothing or any value. They're cheaply made, the locking bar and shackle began to rust after a week of humid weather, and the locking bar will sometimes engage when the shackle is sideways (the inner bar locks but the outer shackle end is off to the side of the base). The keys are stamped steel (not brass) which should have been the first clue that these are a dollar store quality lock dresses up in a brass base to make them seem quality. There are worse locks and that's why it's not a one star. If you need something to keep kids out of storage this will work but would be easily defeated with a swift wack of a mallet or bolt cutters.

Q: Security concern: Is each 2 identical key set unique from other Garrison keys? That is, if I padlock a door with a Garrison padlock, will i have to be concerned that somebody with ANOTHER Garrison two pack set of keys might be able to use that key(s) to open the lock?
