Great little axe. I bought this axe for a ski in camping trip. It's light and chops a lot better than a hatchet. Don't expect it to be an everyday chopper of big logs, it's not designed for that. It is designed to de-limb trees and hammer in wedges. I was able to use it in this way for work recently. It de-limbs excellently. I didn't really use it to hammer in wedges as I had another axe on hand that I was using for that part of the job. Anyways, if you're looking for a chainsaw axe or a light camping axe, I would recommend it! Also the grip is great!

A: The axe head is forged and machined in China. Garant assembles the axe in Canada using wood handles from our Woodstock in New Brunswick.
