Looking for a floor protector for the holiday tree? Why not this?

I bought this to put under the Yule tree on our freshly refinished floors, and then (like a fool) one day later accidentally dipped a bit of the tree skirt into the reservoir, turning it into a giant wick for about 2L of water. Rug? Soaked. Floor? Almost completely dry, as the rubber backing fully did its job. So yes, it gets an enthusiastic five stars.
