Fan function is fine, the feet however seem to be fashioned from razor sharp plastic and should you by chance step on it, it will remove a chunck of your foot. I would not recommend if you have small children running about. It is an accident waiting to happen.

Put it together and when you use it the knob that holds the fan blade on backs off and the fan blade comes off

It is cheap junk. It is very hard to put together with the hard-to-understand directions.

It seems that the difficulties faced during assembly might be due to not fully following the instructions provided in the manual. For optimal assembly, please ensure to follow these steps carefully: 1. Unfold the base legs and place the decorative plastic flange over the extension pole. 2. Slide the pedestal pole into the base receptacle and tighten the nut to secure it. 3. Pull the chrome extension out of the fan pedestal and attach the fan control panel/motor assembly, securing it with the thumbscrew.
