Love having it but need to improve durability

I like the product itself and love having it in the kitchen. It both protects the wood floor but also makes an incredible difference in how my feet and hips feel after standing in the kitchen for long periods. I like that the top is not textured because it makes it easier to wipe up the inevitable kitchen spills. My only complaint is that the top layer starts to flake and peel off after a few months and then it looks quite unattractive. It really needs to be more durable.

Only lasts 6 months before peeling

It was great for the first few months but started peeling and looks bad. We're gentle with it, we don't even clean it that often. This is our second one in two years. Lasts about a year before needing to be replaced which is bad for the landfill. Wish it could last longer. Otherwise it looks nice and is cushy.

Q: For placement underneath the sink, does it absorb water and does it leave footprints?

A: Water will sit on top of the mat. You’ll have to wipe up. You will leave footprints if your feet are wet.

A: It is just under 2 inches thick.We have 3 of them in our kitchen,1 at our sink, 1 at our stove and 1 at our island and we love them. I have a bad back and these are great when you are standing in the kitchen for any length of time.I hope this helps.
