I bought 2 of this because of the price and the colour matches my kitchen. It Looks great and feels comfortable to step on. It made me so happy stepping on it while washing dishes and I placed another for the stove while cooking. It was easy to wipe and clean after.
All the excitement stepping on it went away after 2 months. I thought it was my wife's slippers that was scratching it as she cooked all the time because the other one was still nice and not all scratched up. So I took the other one out in the garage as it was getting bad. I thought I got a lemon. A month later the other mat by the sink started peeling off. The outer shell of the mat wasn't strong enough to withstand the constant movement when being stepped on. It was a mistake buying these rubber mats. Now I know why they are on sale and cheap.
Well at least the led Xmas lights I bought from CT lasted me for 2 Christmases. Wait a minute! Yes that was bad too! I just dumped them today at the landfill and noticed a pile of the same xmas lights like mine, they look new but they do not work.
Back to this mats! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT!
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: I've got vinyl plank flooring and it sticks to it nicely, no skidding concerns. Doesn't seem to have any effect on the surface. Feels good under the feet.

A: No it doesn't absorb water. They are fantastic for in front of the sink. I have one for there and have given them as gifts. I also have one in front of my stove. They are very comfortable!

A: This mat is really for inside or in the garage. It provides excellent support while standing, is non slip on floors, and water proof. Marks on mat can be cleaned off with a damp cloth. It would likely work great for standing on while barbequing as long a it is on a flat surface. I would not recommend you leave this out in cold weather/snow.
