Adequate surge protection is essential to protect our valuable electronic equipment, especially for those of us who live in rural areas. We use two of these: one is plugged into our EV charging receptacle, and the other is plugged into our kitchen stove receptacle. This surge protector fits inside the 50A RV & EV Outdoor Charging Outlet #040-1984-6. Although the door won't fully close, it can still be locked using a suitably sized padlock (see photo).

Can't be used at Ontario Provincial Parks

This product is unusable at Ontario Provincial Parks because their shore power posts have weather covers with a lockout tab that sticks straight out from the faceplate and this product cannot be seated in the outlet because the lockout tab bumps into the back of the product.

No, I do not recommend this product.
