After doing some research, I wanted a powerful, lightweight blower—and in that regard, this model delivers. Unfortunately, I’ve run into three issues I did not expect. 1. Static shocks while blowing snow The blower has the power I was looking for, but when using it on snow the handle delivers noticeable static shocks while the trigger is pressed. After looking into it further, it seems this is considered “normal” due to air and moisture moving past the unit and building static charge. The suggested workaround is to avoid gloves, which isn’t realistic in winter conditions. 2. Battery life is far too short I bought the 880 specifically because it came with two batteries. Blowing snow, I’m only getting about 15 minutes per battery—less if I use turbo. For a tool in this class, it should come with at least 5Ah batteries, ideally 6Ah. A reasonable expectation would be around 30 minutes of runtime per battery, and this setup doesn’t come close. 3. Intermittent shutdowns Within the first week, the blower has shut off several times after only about five minutes of use. Removing and reseating the battery, waiting a couple minutes gets it running again, but the cause isn’t clear. It’s not temperature-related—the unit and batteries are stored indoors and are warm before use. If it were a cold issue, it shouldn’t restart so easily. I’m still trying to determine whether it’s one battery or both. After more research, it appears the next model down doesn’t suffer from these problems. At this point, I’m disappointed that the higher‑priced model has these avoidable issues.

Has great power and the batteries last a sufficient time also

Used for snow removal. Pretty handy and powerful, but with my first purchase, one of the batteries didn't work at all. According to the manual, it was defective. After a return and exchange, one of the new batteries stops randomly, and I must reinsert the battery before it runs again. I thought maybe the battery was defective as well, but it also happens with the other battery. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, it happens multiple times during use.

Plenty of power and the battery lasted longer than I expected.

Powerful beyond belief. Dries my car in minutes. Amazing how it works much better than using towels to dry a car.
