Great snowblower with 1 complaint

Hands down a great snowblower! Anyone that thinks an electric snowblower can't handle heavy snow is sadly mistaken. This thing is ultra quiet and super capable. I only have 1 complaint and that is the fact that if you buy the 7.5ah model there are no heated grips. I know 1st world problem but if you opt for the 10ah 24" model that comes with heated grips and independent steering controls. There is no reason this model should be lacking this feature! Other than that this is a great purchase!

Worked great during our last snow storm but...

It worked great clearing my driveway in the latest snowstorm, but one of the 4 batteries was completely dead. Not only wouldn't it charge, but the charger didn't even recognize it as a battery. Warranty claim was relatively painless and they're sending me a new one, but that still kind of stinks for a fresh out of the box battery.

Happy with my new EGO snowblower

I am very satisfied with this snowblower. The 10" of snow we recently experienced was easily cleared. The 10 Ah batteries provided good power and lasted a bit more than 45 minutes. I probably would have gotten more time had I not kept the auger engaged while backing up.
It's light enough that I could move the snowblower up a 6" step.
It is well designed and easy to operator, however, the chute controls are a bit stiff to move. I like having separate controls for distance and direction vs. combined distance/direction in one joystick control.

Keep your gas machine

I have a double car driveway about 50’ long, had about a foot of snow and the snowblower would get bogged down. The batteries are fine if there’s minimal snow 6-8 inches. I would not trade in a gas powered machine for this one. Not happy with this one at all!

A: I have a Hyundai Santafe SUV, I was not able to put the snowblower in the back without removing the package box from it, It will fit without the box just the snowblower and the tools only.

Q: how is the 2405 for maneuverability in tight spaces, as does not have trigger controlled steering. Also can the 7.5Ah batteries be interchanged for 10Ah batteries?

A: I have no issue maneuvering it around my flower beds that curve adjacent to my sidewalk or around cars in the laneway. The 12Ah battery fits just fine and runs along side a 7.5ah or technically by itself. (12Ah batteries are expensive, I will eventually get another) I don't think the 10Ah ones are available anymore.

Q: Can I vary the throwing distance? I have some areas where there isn't much room to throw. Wanting to know if I can decrease it to a shorter throwing distance when needed.

A: Hi there, Ruggy! Great question. We do not recommend that the Snow Blower be used on graveled surface unless the snow blower is adjusted for such a surface in accordance with the operator’s manual. You can reference the proper adjustments on page 30 of the Snow Blowers owners manual. Thank you!
